Healthcare Facility – Carolton Hospital -300 kW and 400 kW

In an effort to keep electric costs under control, Carolton Hospital contacted the Huntington Power Engineering & Construction group to design and install standby generators for several buildings on their site. Unique to this installation was the interface to the local utility which would provide revenue to the customer through a “distributed generation” program that calls for the generators to take load of the utility grid when called upon. HPE provided a complete design/build project that also included all necessary interface and testing to meet the utility interconnection requirements. The ongoing income of this program allowed Carolton to install future capability to meet the needs of their expansion plans.
